After 15 years in newspapers and looking for a change, my wife Kelly’s career carried us from our home state of Texas to Iowa. The change in scenery also shifted the focus of my work. While still pursuing journalistic work with organizations such as The New York Times and Getty Images, I have progressively devoted more of my career to wedding photography. Two handsome boys keep me young. My oldest, Evan, I’m training in the ways of the Jedi. There’s a new mini-me, too. Spencer was born in July, 2012. Like the cobbler’s son who has no shoes, don’t even think I’ve had time to make a photo of the new family. Home is now Des Moines with 2 cats and a nuclear-powered schnoodle to keep life interesting.
